First-Years

May 1: Preferred deadline for submission of registration materials.

AEO does accept materials after May 1st, but please note it is in students’ best interest to provide these documents as close to May 1st as possible so that our office has sufficient time to review requests, speak directly with students, determine eligibility, and formulate accommodations plans for new students.

The Dean of Students Office (DSO) assigns First-Year housing in July. Please note that we require all registration materials in advance in order to prepare accommodations prior to Fall move-in. For more information about housing accommodations please see our housing section.

While we encourage you to share information about your disability in your Dean of Students Office (DSO) rooming application, AEO requires incoming First-Years to formally register with our office so that we may consider any housing accommodations requests. An Accommodations Administrator will be in touch over the summer to arrange an access meeting with the student to discuss accommodations.

Current First-Years who need permanent or temporary (while recovery from injury or illness) housing accommodations should register with AEO and submit documentation that meets our guidelines.
